Three-phase asynchronous motor protection device UZD-3
The motor protection device (MPD) protects the induction motor by controlling the switching equipment, while being intended for:
- Overcurrent protection (time-current protection);
- Phase failure preventing;
- Protection against insulation failure, including both the stator winding and current-carrying wires from the starter to the motor;
- Engine shutdowns on command from a sensor of external technological equipment with a “dry” make contact;
- Protection against overheating of the engine (or technological equipment) by a signal from a temperature sensor;
- Monitoring and protection against exceeding the maximum motor current (stop), with the issuance of a signal ("dry" normally closed contact);
- Remote control of the operation signals of the first three protections (“dry” normally open contact);
- Analysis of an emergency by light indicators, with the preservation of information in the presence of even one supply phase of the network.
