Surge Protector SF-2A

The network interference filter SF (hereinafter the filter) is used to protect the power supply circuits of electronic devices from industrial and high-frequency natural interference. And also to prevent the spread of industrial interference along the supply network from industrial equipment.
The filter is included in the power line break. To connect to the mains and load, the filter has two groups of screw terminals.
The filter is available in a flame-retardant plastic housing and provides for mounting the device on a 35mm DIN rail.
In accordance with GOST, the nature of the occurrence of interference is divided into antiphase and common mode. The antiphase current in the signal wires coincides in the direction with the current of the useful signal. The common mode current has the same direction in the forward and reverse wires of the network.
The filter is designed so that it effectively suppresses various types of interference, thereby providing protection against:
- lightning strikes near of the cables or power lines;
- switching processes when turning on/off a powerful network load;
- current surges with full on/off voltage in the network and accident at substations as well;
- switching power supplies interference;
- powerful engines and generators interference, etc.
