Load resistor (40 to 80 VA)
Loading resistors for instrument transformers with a total power of 40 to 80 VA are designed for installation in secondary power supply circuits in industrial and commercial facilities with a high level of energy consumption.
This series includes one-, two- and three-phase devices. The maximum load value per one phase reaches 80 VA among single-phase devices and 20 VA for three- and two-phase ones. The limit value of resistance for 1 phase is 605 Ohm, it is available for models PVR2-110V-2x20VA and PVR3-110V-3x20VA.
Due to the high power, the load resistors from 40 to 80 VA are equipped with an additional external heatsink, which provides efficient heat dissipation and protects the electronic parts of the device from overheating. The case itself is made of metal and prevents moisture and dust from getting inside. The devices are resistant to sub-zero temperatures and can be installed in outdoor switchboards.
To ensure maximum efficiency of the load resistors, they should be installed directly next to the load-bearing measuring device. This will minimize power loss and errors.
