Load resistor (10 to 30 VA)
A series of terminating resistors with a total power of 10 to 30 VA is designed to work with two- and three-phase instrument transformers that are used in commercial and industrial facilities.
Depending on the resistor model, the maximum load per phase can be up to 10 VA. Accordingly, the maximum performance of 30 VA is only possible when using a three-phase modification of the device. The maximum resistance value of the preload resistors of this series is 2420 ohms; it is implemented in the two-phase model PVR2-110V-2x5VA and the three-phase PVR3-110V-3x5VA.
The case of the presented loading resistors is made entirely of metal and reliably protects the internal electronic components from moisture and dust. If necessary, devices can be installed inside outdoor switchboards.
Installing additional load resistors will increase the load on metering devices, thereby reducing the measurement error. The company "Priborenergo" recommends, if technically possible, to install these devices near instrument transformers. This is necessary to improve the accuracy of the latter.
